About MidAmerica Truck Tops

Mid-America Truck Tops, appropriately named for its prime location in Eureka, MO, was founded in 1988 by Ken Diekmann and his wife Darlene. Ken's experience in the truck top business goes back several years. When Ken was just fifteen years old, he went to work for a truck top company, just minutes from his school bus stop. He and his brother would hang out there, while waiting for their bus. One day, the shop's owner offered them jobs and they gladly accepted. Ken worked in that shop until 1984. Ken left to go sell Cadillacs, but after four years of selling cars, he decided that the truck top business suited him best.

Ken and Darlene Diekmann ventured into business on their own, and in 1988, Mid-America Truck Tops was established. Their business is located on Interstate 44, just a quarter mile East of Six Flags Theme Park, not far from where Ken first worked. They built a 4000 square foot office and shop and currently stock several brands of truck tops. In addition, they carry a variety of accessories, such as bed liners, truck lids and running boards. Ken believes that the quality of his products should parallel the quality of his service. Because of this, Ken deals only with reputable companies, like Snugtop, Sportsman, Century, Penda Liner and Rugged Liner.

Mid-America Truck Tops understands the importance of convenience. They have a full staff of qualified installers who are knowledgeable of all the product lines that they carry. Employees of Mid-America Truck Tops go out of their way to provide outstanding service to their customers, and that service doesn't stop at the state line. One customer in particular, from Chattanooga, TN, can attest first hand, to their great customer service. When he found the truck top that he needed, but it was hundreds of miles way, Mid-America Truck Tops arranged to meet him in Nashville, TN to install the top. The customer had his new truck, with top, at home and in the driveway by dark.

Mid-America Truck Tops is a small, family based business, which advertises mostly by word of mouth and in the Yellow Pages. His company has enjoyed a steady increase in business every year since its creation in 1988. Ken believes that competition is good for business, as it gives his employees more incentive to be the best in Mid-America.
